Charles
Casa came from Sicily to American in 1912 when he was
only 11 years old. In 1929, after extensive studying he earned
his license to be a Master Plumber in the city of New York.
He then started his own business, Charles Casa &
Sons, INC. with his wife Frieda by his side. In the
midst of the depression this was a struggle but through determination,
hard work and long hours, the business grew along with his family.
Charles Casa had two sons, David
and Vinny. He also had three Daughters, Ruth,
Jane and Lisa. When WWII
broke out Vincent entered the Armed Forces. After
the war he returned home and joined his father in the business.
David also served his country in the Korean War,
and has been a steady presence on the business since then.
Following in his fathers footsteps David
earned his Master Plumber License in 1962.
Charles
decided to retire in 1984 and David took the
reigns of the company. He expanded the business by acquiring such
corporate accounts as Montefiore Medical Hospitals, Our Lady of Mercy Hospital,
Getty Gas Stations, McDonald's, Stella D'Oro Biscuit Co Inc,
among others. Even with these large corporate accounts, David
never forgot the small homeowners who were the foundation of the
business in its early years. Homeowners can still expect the same
dedication to quality service that they have come to depend on.
David Casa met and married
Dorothy in 1957. They had three children, Cindy,
Cathy and Chris.
Today, Chris continues
the family tradition and has expanded the business into Westchester
County. Chris took over the business in 1995 when
David decides to semi-retire. Chris took in a partner Scott
Kreitzer.
Scott Kreitzer started All Boro
Sewer and Drain Cleaning in 1979 and with the rising
cost of both businesses’, Chris and Scott decided to combine
their businesses and form Casa Mechanical.
Currently we offer service work of all plumbing
related problems, Sewer Cleaning, Boiler Maintenance and Replacement.
We are currently warranty service providers
for Bradford White Water Heaters and Teledyne
Laars Boilers among others.
Even though the names has changed
to Casa Mechanical in the Bronx, and CDC
Plumbing in Westchester to reflect the third generation
of plumbers. The same great service can be expected for large
and small accounts alike.
